You may remember the beautiful Kaitlyn, who I worked with on that gorgeous nature maternity shoot from the fall. Well, she had her baby and it was a sweet little boy they named Wallace. I had the honor of capturing the new family of four! This Portland newborn photography session was so much fun. We hung out at their house for awhile, and then visited a neighbor with a lovely garden space to enjoy the fresh air, and then returned to their home for a bit. It was very casual and I was mostly following them around. documenting their interactions and details.
Big sister Amalee, age 2.5, was a bundle of happy, adorable energy. In fact, the day before, she had gotten a big scrape on her forehead–ouch! (Thankfully it was easy to remove in postprocessing.) She was very sweet and gentle with baby Wally, and excited to be the big sibling. For the first part of our time together, Amalee bounced around (literally) and then the family had a little dance party. I think I was grinning the whole time–what a fun group this is! By the way, doesn’t Kaitlyn look incredible at only two weeks post-partum?? She seemed to be doing pretty well transitioning to having two small children. David is a wonderful daddy to the kiddos–you can see how much he loves both his babies. Little Wallace was a sweet, quiet guy. He was very calm, and awake and aware of things. Totally content to just go with the flow. It seemed like he was a seamless addition to the family. 🙂
Aren’t they all just lovely and sweet? I so enjoyed spending time with this family.
