A few years ago, I had an idea about creating a black milk bath with floating candles. Every once in awhile I would try to figure out the logistics of it, but always gave up. Earlier this year, I was determined to make it happen. Partly because I found Roxanne, a model who is into dark and moody imagery. She was willing to try my idea! I found a bathtub and then had to figure out how to turn water black. I wasn’t sure if a bath bomb would work or would dye a tub, so I found something online about using paint! I bought some black tempera paint and tried it at home, and sure enough, it worked perfectly! So technically this is a paint bath, not a milk bath. 🙂 I also bought some floating candles and some gorgeous flowers from Giffords Flowers in downtown Portland. I’d wanted dark purple, but the deep red roses and white flowers she also included ended up being completely perfectly contrasted against the dark water.
I freaking LOVE how they all turned out!
