Fran owns a field biology consulting firm, and works in forests and nature preserves all around Oregon. How cool is that?! So we went to their “office” for headshot and branding photos–the forest! I had so much fun. They brought some of the tools they use: notepads, speakers, binoculars, compass. (Apparently they also use machetes sometimes too, and I was bummed that we didn’t get to do some machete-chopping photos! Next time for sure!) We took some ‘standard’ more formal-looking headshots with the gorgeous greenery behind them, as well as some photos in their normal working clothes. We also re-enacted some of the things they would really do out in the wild: examining, digging, listening, finding, writing. I totally loved doing this out-of-the-box Portland business branding photography session!
