This young lady was wonderful to work with! She started out very shy and quiet, but really bloomed during her session. I could tell she felt comfortable and happy and like herself. And that’s really the goal! I love working with seniors to create beautiful portraits that feel like them, at this moment in time.
In addition to loving art, she really loves her car. So we made some images with DRAMA — dark, contrasty lighting, and fun angles.
The location was amazing too. Her mom works in a building that has commissioned graffiti in their garage! What a fantastic opportunity to have colorful and unique images for her Portland senior portrait session. Truly, it was like a perfect photographer’s playground!
Some seniors love outdoors, nature, bright sun, fields and grass. And other seniors love unique, indoors, colorful spaces. It is wonderful to work with both and all kinds of locations all around town!
