Meet Brandi. She is gorgeous, friendly, knowledgeable, effortlessly stylish. She’s a personal stylist who works with clients all around the country, making sure that they wear clothes that flatter and fit–not just the body but also the person and personality. I got to work with her this past fall, which was so enlightening and fascinating. We did a personal shopper session, so she went to a few stores and picked out a bunch of things for me to try on that work best with my shape and style. It was amazing to have her with me in the dressing room–I could tell her that I hated the paisley-print peasant tops, and she encouraged me to not be so skeptical of a good blazer and skinny corduroys. I was really pleasantly surprised at how good I could look!

But this post isn’t about that–it’s about Brandi! This was a personal branding photography session in Brooklyn. Check out that golden hour light, and the classic New York bricks, stoop, and street scenery. As someone whose work is so visual, she really needs tons of photos of her looking fabulous and fun and stylish. She had two looks to show off for this session, and we made sure to get detail shots, close up shots, and headshot-style photos too.
